Lets talk bout how this nikka going around callin himself the leader of todays game??

nikka what :dwillhuh:

Lets keep it 100 Hip Hop is a culture first and foremost and rappers are looked at as our leaders

Now anytime a nikka would claim to be a leader in this hip hop sht(Jay, wayne, Biggie, T.I.P, 50 Cent etc.) you could actually go outside and see nikkaz bumping these nikkaz catalogs(not hits catalogs) with no shame reppin these nikkaz wit no shame..

Now drake?? Nobody is influenced by drake...
Who wants to be like Drake? :childplease:

Ya nikkaz may bump his hits n sht but nikkaz never proudly rep for Drake like they did the artists i mentioned

And yall nikkaz can come in here with ur "bubububu its should be only bout the music image shouldnt matter"

nikka :childplease: this is hip hop culture..nikkaz who were rappers who claimed to be leaders needed to be people who really influenced us..an image people saw as a "superhero"

Not these regular ass nikkaz who seem like nikkaz i'd bump into at Walmart

ANyways..like I said..nikkaz out hea aint drake fans..ya he sells alot but what about influence..what about being an image that nikkaz can put pride in..

Not some soft ass giggly ass nikka getting moist when talkin bout Trey songz ass nikka in which no one but females will proudly call themselves Drake fans

Please him calling himself the leader of the new school is only a testament of this disgusting generation

Leader of the new school my ass nikkaz :childplease:

First album was weak, I only heard the 3 singles off his second album and it was horrible, I doubt the 3rd lp will amount to anything.

If a rapper wants the crown he has to produce results. He is off to a very bad start, no legend or top tier emcee has started off with 3 sub par albums in a row. None.

I get your Drake hate, and I get what you mean, but I feel like youre kinda putting rappers on a pedestal.. they're people just like us

like, I like Ab Soul.. a lot.. because I connect with him. he talks about his faults and shyt and he doesn't make me feel bad about not being rich, not havin nothing and tells stories I can apply to my own life and connect with. I like that hes a "regular nikka i could bump into at walmart.".

nikka u can like ya Ab-Soul

But Im jus sayin...Hip hop is a culture first and foremost..

When a rapper says or claims some type of leadership over the game they must have an influence over the people and not only that but be an image nikkaz can proudly get behind..

The nikkaz i mentioned earlier provided that..provided stories and an image that we can put pride in and shamelessly get behind

But Drake tho....Nigggaz out hea would never claim they fans of drake :heh:
Never see a kid be like "i bought that ovo hoodie cuz Im a fan of drake" :deadrose:

Drake is not a rapper. He is a pop artist.

Once you can understand that, everything about him makes sense.

He doesn't represent hip-hop music or hip-hop culture. I already came to that conclusion after checkinng out a couple of interviews from him.

He only pimps the culture as a means to an end and is a product of pop Mainstream America.

I just can't put him on the level of other rappers because he's not a rapper. He's a pop star who raps.

Lol I honestly I have only heard like 2 or 3 Drake songs. But hasn't that guy rapped about selling crack? When the dude grew up acting on Nickelodeon? SMH

Yea this sounds about right. I attribute him to the likes of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.
