"Talk of New York" didn't make Streets Disciple. And that track alone shyts on anything on SD.

Crappy, crappy release. Did I already say it was crappy?

I don't think it's as terrible as people make it...it just needed to be stripped down a lil bit...but check this out...this proves how unreliable "reviewers" are...cause this album got GREAT reviews on initial release...it wasn't until a few years later that people started to pan it...

U can tell Nas was in love cause that whole second disc damm near is about Kelis in sum shape or form....Talk of New York,Good Morning,Serious wit AZ,the original Streets Disciple wit the G rap sample should have been included along wit the illusive I Am Somebody track which is a fact did did exist should have all been included ....he should have made Like my Style a lead single cause its a good balance of street and party...a lot of gripes wit this record...lyrically Its one of his best...he was stringing words together sumthin crazy on sum joints....all in all its number five or six in my Nas list of albums....

Just one of those albums where you have favorite tracks and some just don't flow with the album. it's not trash but a 8/10 album to me.

Songs like

Just A Moment
Reason
Rest of my Life
Live Now
U.B.R
Me & You
These Are Our Heroes

Were dope and were getting mad spin back then from me

Salaam Remi & LES blessed Nas with their beats, fukk what anyone thinks. That being said, if you remove:

American Way
These Are Our Heroes
UBR

Makings of a Perfect bytch
Getting Married
No One Else in the Room
Me & You

Ya got a solid 4 mic album. Also I'm a Virgo so that track stays :umad:
Those songs were dope

Eh, they were kinda weak but I appreciate Nas going after sellouts and giving props to a legend :myman: Totally agree with the last song. Looking back I'd remove Virgo and add Me & You back, song is beautiful:mjcry:

Good album. It had great moments (War, Rest of My Life, A Message..., Reason etc) but then it had wack bits like Suicide Bounce and UBR was half-hearted and disappointing.

How did it take 46 posts for someone to mention that beast of a track? :mjcry:

Serious is another classic track - as good as any of his AZ collabos.

Good Morning - Dope track

Why were they left off? Sample issues?
It was a fukking double album, it's not like they had to cut it down to 12 tracks or some shyt :why:

Why was there no Alchemist on this album? :mindblown:

He was all over Lost Tapes and Gods Son which everybody loved :to:

Stuckinthe90s version...

A Messsage To The Feds
Good Morning
Nazareth Savage
Just A Moment
You Know My Style
Street's Disciple
Remember The Times
War
Thief's Theme
Serious
Talk Of NY
