In the Silver Lining

Bong Bong.

I still remember the interview he did with either the Source or Vibe magazines and he said he had been reading medical journals and textbooks, and was going to integrate that knowledge into The Cure album. I was hyped...:krs:.

I believe it too. If you listen to "Triumph" song, he was on some primary care physician steeze:

"Escape from your Dragon's Lair, in particular
My beats travel like a vortex, through your spine
to the top of your cerebrum cortex
Make you feel like you bust a nut from raw sex
Enter through your right ventricle clog up your bloodstream
now terminal, like Grand Central Station"

But like Langston Hughes said...."What Happens to A Dream Deferred.......":mjcry:

I did something like this like 10 years ago taking tracks from the disappointing later Wu albums & making them into proper Wu solos. Not necessarily remaking The Cure like you're talking, but this was my 07 version of a RZA solo:

RZA- Droppin’ Science
01. Outlines (RZA)
02. A Day to God is 1000 Years (Bronze Nazareth)
03. Grits feat Masta Killa (RZA)
04. Tragedy (True Master)
05. Wu World Order feat La the Darkman (RZA)
06. Koto Chotan feat Masta Killa & Madam Scheez (RZA)
07. Samurai Showdown (RZA)
08. The Chase (RZA)
09. Take Sword feat Kinetic (RZA)
10. The Stone The Gun & The Book feat Cilvaringz & Remedy (RZA & Cilvaringz)
11. Sunshower (RZA)
12. Righteous Way feat Junior Reid (RZA)
13. Build Strong feat Tekitha (RZA)
14. The Birth (Bronze Nazareth)
15. See The Joy (RZA)
16. The Sickness (RZA)
17. Odyssey (RZA)
18. Grits original mix feat Masta Killa (3:22) (RZA) [bonus]

also, for the hell of it, the Bob Digi one (nothing from BDIS b/c his freestyling on that doesn't mix well w/ the Bobby Digital version who's spitting writtens):

Bobby Digital- With The Mask On

01. Bob N I (Choco)
02. Show U Love (RZA)
03. Do U feat Prodigal Sunn & GZA (RZA)
04. Brooklyn Babies feat Masta Killa (RZA)
05. Cousin Billy (RZA)
06. Fast Cars feat Ghostface (True Master)
07. The Grunge (RZA)
08. Cakes feat Kool G Rap (RZA)
09. It Must Be Bobby (Mathematics)
10. Windpipe feat Ghostface & ODB (RZA)
11. Throw Your Flag Up feat Black Knights (RZA)
12. Fools feat Killa Sin & Solomon Childs (RZA)
13. What You In Fo' feat Method Man, Raekwon & Street (True Master)
14. Insomnia (RZA)
15. Chi Kung feat Kinetic (Barracuda)
16. Be A Man (RZA)
17. And Justice For All feat Method Man & Killarmy (RZA)
18. So High (G13) feat Timbo King (RZA)
19. Digi Acapel Outro [bonus]

@Tuaminator or @BuddahMAC how many of the OG beats for The Cure have been released/used? If any?

Not many and any that were we can't be too sure of. He's always said he had The Cure written lyrically but not really musically. See The Joy, for example, was for sure written for The Cure, but was the music might have just been produced in BOAP sessions.

Here's most of what we know:

"(Bobby Digital) was bottled up in me and it was stopping my progress, from moving forward, as well as putting me in a contradictory state to all the things I'm going to say on the RZA album," he explained during a recent visit to Toronto. "There is a clear distinction, even in the tone of my voice. RZA sounds pretty sad on some songs."
Preferring to concentrate on Bobby Digital, RZA has revealed little about "The Cure". It supposedly contains more of his groundbreaking Wu-Tang production, along with collaborations with Isaac Hayes and Rage Against The Machine. More defining is that there's singing on the album and what he calls a family vibe. "Yeah, RZA, I'd call it 'mindful.' You would say 'spiritual.' I have a song called 'The 99 Attributes Of Allah'. That song could make you cry. I've got a song called 'Pugilism', which goes into different forms of Chi Kung. It's a fantasy world but it gives you some of the potential power of it," says RZA. "So I go into different principles on that album."

The Cure has some of the deepest lyrics I ever heard in life. Some tracks include: "Mozes", "Knowledge Wisdom Understanding", "99 Attributes Of Allah" and one about RZA being a sperm cell going through violent battles to fertilize the egg.- Cilvaringz

"I have my daughter singing on the first single, `You Are My Sunshine’ -it’s about me being a young black man in America, trying to make a change for himself and his community. Usually when a black man is in that position, throughout the course of history he has always been assassinated or persecuted. In this she’s singing, `Don’t take my father away, don’t take any of our great men representing the cause of equality away.’ I really go into the essence of what a lot of the enlightened men - like Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, J.F.K. - talk about. I have some fun stuff on there, though, like `Pugilism.’ It’s about martial arts -like a razor blade to your ear.” - RZA

RZA, whose original soundtrack album 'RZA as Bobby Digital In Stereo' is released on Monday, has told NME that his next album proper - entitled 'The Cure' and scheduled for release on Gee Street next year - will be "a beautiful album, a grown man piece of work".
Tracks like 'Flowing Down The River Of Life' show the elevated ghetto teacher in RZA, though this higher plane couldn't be accessed until he'd exorcised his sexist superhero side through Bobby Digital's anti-PC battle grooves and Prince-oid sexy grinds.
