Then you didnt pay attention.
Basically UH is saying free insulin.
But you don't need insulin, you need to free yourself of sugar.

Nothing about UH is preventive.
And of course this is just one example.

Oh I definitely paid attention to the video and I was little concerned with the way he tried to explain the biochemistry of diabetes. He kind of comes off as a fraud. I couldn't even find a practicing physician by the name of Jason fung in Canada

But that's besides the point because the bigger purpose of UH is to actually make it affordable. And since you are so hung up on preventive care, do you place thesee same stipulations on private insurers? Do you see them regulating the how much trans fats their enrollees take in?

Lastly, since this video is addressing diabetes it should be worth noting that Canadians pay $32 for a vial of insulin why Americans pay $300 for the same vial. That's the issue that universal healthcare is trying to solve.

Ok so he is not canadian, i just gave an example of things that make UH more realistic that Canada is doing.

No not about private insurers, govt should ban it.
The administrative cost & overhead of knowing who is taking transfats & who isnt is an unwise path.
Govt should ban it, just canada is doing with transfats & cows.

Bernie says look at canada, but when I look at canada ya'll be flaming me lol

Per his website

Dr. Fung graduated from the University of Toronto and completed his residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. He lives and works in Toronto, Canada

Dr. Jason Fung, MD - Diet Doctor

Again, the main purpose of universal healthcare is too make it more affordable. These other regulations you speak of fall outside of it's intended purpose. I'm actually for those regulations but they should be addressed in different legislation.

Yeah this was dumb bro....

Preventative care is probably the single biggest focus of Medicare/obamacare because it helps keep costs of treatment down for insurers

Those same insurers would love if people made healthy and smart decisions but that shyt is a pipe dream. Thats why you got the same fat people getting their knees replaced over and over instead of shedding the 200+ pounds they buckling under.

You think people WANT to pay for shyt like this? There is a fundamental lack of understanding on the insurance industry here

Breh....
Look at my responses, I am talking about ACTUAL prevention.
Obamacare's "preventive" care is just screenings & counselling.
My very valid examples had zero relevancy to screenings & counselling.

UH orders different preventive check-ups on regular basis, including dental (very important since new research links different deseases to oral inflammation like Alzheimer or multiple sclerosis) and PAP DNA (prevents cervical cancer).

During communism (and still in Cuba) you had doctors and nurses regularly visiting people in their homes to give advice and check people up. After the communism in ex Yugoslavia the program was reduced for austerity reasons, so it just follows newborn babies now.

Here's the thing you're missing about Canada, they have the incentive to ban certain products because they are going to pay the cost of people using those products and have been for decades. You want us to talk about step 10 when we haven't even completed step 1.

First we need to get the government to pay for our healthcare so that they care about how healthy we are. Then they will push for preventative measures to keep the costs down because they won't be able to repeal Medicare for all once it's in effect. Right now the motivating factor for our government is protecting the business interests of their donors. We need to get over that hurdle first.

So Universal Health Care is supposed to give the government the right to dictate the diet of it's citizens?

:mjlol:

Most of what I am talking about is currently going on in Canada, & nobody dictating anything.

Ban transfats, ban the injecting cows with drugs & pills, ban corn syrup(not banned in canda yet), perform studies on removing plastic from water, ban dupont carcinogenic products etc.

Trans fats were banned in America before canada. Canadian beef gets the same hormones as American, corn syrup ain’t the problem. Canada drinking from the same water sources as America, including but not limited to the Detroit River :mjlol: DuPont does hella business in Canada.

What the fukk are you even talking about here?

As I said, a couple simple google searches will take to you a long way:francis:
