At this time, its best for the Steelers to trade, but who would take him now:russ:
Any team should want Laveon in a heartbeat.

He’s the best RB in the NFL and he’s excellent catching out the backfield.

The ONLY reason this mess is happening is because the Steelers have been playing with his career/money going on 3years now with that BS franchise tag, which is the worst contract in all of pro sports.

He was a model steeler till he got tired of the BS, and I don’t blame him.

To y’all saying this is a victory for the owners to have the Steelers players pissed off over this — it isn’t exactly. The deadline for Le’Veon to get a long term deal from the Steelers this year has passed. Holding out is not putting their feet to the fire or whatever because their hands are tied. Also, if he thinks he’s going to get more than what the Steelers offered (5 years/$70M) NEXT year when he’s a year older and hasn’t played football in god knows how long, then I suspect he’s going to be disappointed. I just don’t see a 27 year old RB with a lot of mileage, who doesn’t really prioritize winning as much as other guys, and whose been suspended multiple times, getting more than that. People act like the deal the Steelers offered was trash just because Le’Veon wants more. But it wasn’t a bad deal — he just wanted more
There hands arnt tied, there just cheap azz fuk. There’s no deadline, only excuses

This is the third year of this bullsh!t

Only 10 million guaranteed and the "steelers promise" of honoring the contract wasnt enough when other teams are giving out real Guarantees.. he has every right to see if he can get more. Just keep it real with your team mates..fellas im not coming.

As a RB who touches the ball over 400 times i can understand him not risking his future earnings on just 10 million guaranteed and the steelers honor of paying out.

Foster a b!tch

This is why owners have such power. There is no solidarity in the NFL, players toe the line of the owners/fans. If this is a business, which it is, it shouldn't matter if he plays or not to his teammates. Next man up right?

He has every right to sit out until he is traded or paid.

See.. none of you guys have any clue what’s going on here. He can’t be traded because he’s not under contract, he can’t be paid because the deadline is passed. And the Steelers aren’t cheap, they offered him $70M over 5 years he just wanted more. So we can all argue over whether he deserves more than that, if holding out to protect his body (even though he can’t get any more $ than the tag anymore) is a good move, if keeping his team in the dark about his intentions is okay.. but you are not entitled to your own facts. Get that shyt straight first then comment
