So this hoverboard can only be used on certain tracks.
I'm not an engineer but why doesn't someone just make a piezoelectric (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezoelectricity) hoverboard where the pressure of the person standing on it generates electricity, and that electricity is then used to power a rocket/thruster that lifts the board a couple of inches/feet off the ground. And then maybe use your iphone to steer it.....I don't know...

That video ended right when dude steps on the edge of the hoverboard. Man, that was megasuck. They didn't even try to CGI it.
