Like I have said before, many of those Black LGBTQ+ wrap their identity up in their sexual orientation so much, that they end up doing BS like this. I told my wife something similar to this when some gay man lied on her and said she snatched the phone from him through a plexiglass window, like she had She-Hulk strength.
