Most people aren’t going to say much to you about your sexual orientation in a setting as public as the barbershop.

Most people don’t give a AF as long as the said gay person isn’t overly flamboyant and aren’t trying to holla at them.

A lot of these gays get overly self conscience and tie their sexuality to their entire source of existence and now they think people are line stepping even in sometimes when they are not.

They self conscious cause they know deep down that what they're doing is wrong.

I've gotten my hair cut by two separate butch lesbians at two different barber shops who worked there. they literally employed them so the owners didn't hate them enough to not employ them. I can't speak for them if they ever had some slick shyt said to them ever because I imagine occasionally they may get an ignorant ass customer but for the most part people don't fukk with other people.

Also, unless you're flaming as fukk, no one will know you're gay unless you bring it up.

In real life I have (black) gay co-workers and employees, male and female.

I’m cool with them like I’m cool with everyone else, them being gay doesn’t even come up in conversation unless they briefly discuss their own relationship(s).

The only group of gays that really catches hell like that in the black community, from what I’ve seen, are trans.

And rightfully so, we shouldn’t have to play make believe with your ass and call you a woman when you’re clearly a man.

i think that dude is clout chasing another tweet where a gay breh was claiming he got terrible service at a detroit shop because he was gay. people who go to that shop didnt really buy that one either because the guy was a walk-in at a shop that heavily suggests you make an appointment. i was actually kinda surprised to see women and even other gays saying these tweets were a reach...
