What Michelle said is not only in poor taste, but it takes any agency away from Black men, just because said White man is "possibly" attracted to a black woman, he can't harbor harmful views towards Black men.. I say "possibly" attracted to Black women, because he kissing viola was in the script. It was acting. Which makes it even worse, because a white man just doing his job(kissing Viola because it's in the script and he's an actor) gives him that much leeway and comfortability to openly express harmful views and be defended by literally everyone of every race including Black Men. In a twisted way that shows how little they think of Black women. They act like Liam doing his job, is doing Viola a favor and therefore absolves him of racism.
