probably, but it further perpetuates the stereotype of the dumb black athlete, which is why he is in this mess in the first place. so these nikkas can learn a full playbook but cant memorize a short speech. breh, we need to be better than this. the Balls have been destined for stardom for some time now. if its my son, he'd be prepped...beginning in high school. you know you are going to have a mic shoved in your face because of your name so you best to be ready for it. take some public speaking courses, speech class, anything right? does anyone even know how the other guys sounded? I dont, because all the playbacks are of LiAngelo. he's the focal point here. I am not blaming the kid for this....but the people around him have to do a better job of building his image.

breh, I was gonna say the same thing. who gives a fukk, you home now. and yes, a tear or two wouldnt hurt. I am not clowning him now. look at my posts in this thread and you will see I am dead serious because I never even harped on what he did that was actually wrong, and that was steal when he obviously doesnt have to. its not like he starving and stole some bread. we worry too much about sounding eloquent when he needs to be sincere in his apology. next stupid thing he does....people will point back to him reading off this paper and saying he never learned his lesson, he's just a propped up star athlete.

@synistr i feel what you saying and I think we all feel like that.....they making black nikkas look bad, they on some dumb athlete shyt, etc etc. It sucks that they had to do that dumb shyt but its a double edged sword. I dont have no need for nikkas to have to cry on TV and be "sincere" to appease cac media or whatever. You getting on them for not being great public speakers I mean cmon, that shyt is hard and during HS years you out here playing ball, having fun and shyt. You not thinking "Damn, i better take a speech class so I can handle my fukk ups in the media properly". Any media you do as a star HS player is positive shyt and thats a piece o cake. These guys deserve consequences for their actions but they still young black nikkas that deserve a second chance. Johnny Manziel was out here doing foul shyt and look at how many chances he got on some cac privilege shyt. I'm not mad of some black homies got to exercise some of that as well. I dont wanna see no young homies in a Chinese jail, nor do I wanna see nikkas careers get fukked up over this either and get suspended for a whole season. And thats not just LiAngelo but all three of them. Obviously I ride for #BBB but all stanning/fukkery aside it could've been any black college athlete and I'd feel the same.

a lot of the stuff he read off the paper was stuff he couldve said without rambling or freezing up. "I'm sorry, extremely apologetic" "I accept full responsibility, I let my teammates down, I let my family down, this is a terrible mistake and it wont happen again, yadda yah" no one shouldve been expecting him to get up there and give background story of his youth. stick to the buzz words.
feel you. look back at my posts. I am not clowing LiAngelo one bit. and I am not as hard on him for the actual incident as most people are, because obviously something is wrong for him to commit such and act, and for me, I always point back to the parents in situations like this. I am a parent and I school mines everyday...but still you can get with the wrong crowds and such and make bad judgements. I tell my kids that sometimes those judgements can cost you your life, literally and figuratively. my sole focus in this thread is to say that judging from everything going on, he doesnt have the best people around him and perhaps LeVar is too focused on Lonzo and Melo that he is forgetting about LiAngelo.,...and that could be affecting him.
