Nah he's got too much visibility and 0 training on how to handle the music media and marketing side of things, dude might not have any idea how to structure a song for real or put together a project, let alone have the breathing control to perform that song was running around a stageHe should have stayed indie. He hasn't even performed the song yet
With this amount of attention within a few weeks, he definitely needs some type of guidance, he didn't have a gradual rise in popularity and experience like your typical rapper/industry plant. Def Jam definitely isn't the right place but he needed to get himself around a professional team quickly before things got outta hand

He also got an organic push from the NBA players who were just playing the shyt (jokingly or not) for over a week straight... which then leads to TNT and ESPN playing the shyt during their broadcast and the analysts talking about it.
