I've responded to that walmart video in my last post. America still suffers from institutionalized racism, but Capitalism has created far more opportunity for minorities than any other system.

Opportunities to make 1 percent of the value they produce while owners make the other 99 percent? Yea they have so much opportunity...how about those bank bailouts to CEOs during the recession where hundreds of thousands of people lost jobs and homes but the crooks that did it got millions of dollars for free....Opportunities, let me tell ya :mjlol:

You are right, a job is the least effective way to make money that exists. An employee is a cost of doing business. If the employee doesn’t generate more income than they cost, that employee is going to get fired or the business is going to go broke. If you’re the employee, the outcome is the same. Businesses exist to maximize the owner’s equity.

BUT

What is stopping these people from going to business for themselves? Capitalism allows all to create opportunities. Black people should work on starting and supporting black businesses. I believe that because of white supremacy some black people believe that a black business is somehow lesser than than a white business. I know black people that won't go to a black doctor.[DOUBLEPOST=1397432615][/DOUBLEPOST]
i honestly am not too privy to economics but goddamn you cant believe the underlined :mindblown:
he's an idiot or he's trolling if he doesn't understand what he said is illogical. @itsKhari must not realize that capitalists created the slave trade but oh well...let him/her/it be ignorant

Name a system that you think black people will fare better in?

Capitalism isn't perfect it can be used in way violates people, but when used correctly it's the best system

Read the book, "THe Business of Black Power" it details how and why capitalism fails minorities and is only made for the top 1 percent of the nation; it shows how blacks have tried throughout history to embrace capitalism and support black businesses for decades, but it failed because capitalism DOES NOT ALLOW too many players on the field...plus we are community people and capitalism is inherently creates top down systems where the majority will always be working class and poor...that is WRONG. IF A PERSON WORKS AND CREATES CAPITAL BUT ONLY RECEIVES A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THAT CAPITAL, that is evil; Plus, its a racist capitalist system and that is a historical truth.

Read Du Bois's Black Reconstruction then try and argue the point you just made. Its impossible.[DOUBLEPOST=1397432758][/DOUBLEPOST]

Exactly and in this country, it has OVERWHELMINGLY violated blacks more than any other group here

I'm gonna be honest and say I don't know enough about politics to voice a well informed opinion. But I have noticed that black folks that claim to be Republicans tend to be the ones that try to separate themselves from the rest of us :mjpls:
black republicans are trying to leap ahead of the game.

I understand WHY they might be republicans...but it doesn't make it any more rational presently.

You aren't serious, right? The whole basis of capitalism is to violate people; otherwise, its not capitalism. Im not trying to be funny, but do you know how capitalism works? I mean the whole system from the ground up

Have an intelligent moral based discussion about the actions and opinions of a man who put a pubic hair on the edge of somebody's coke can at work, brehs

But your answer doesn't address solutions, only problems.

Capitalism works. You have to make it work for you.

I disagree but I've already had this discussion with you. Capitalism only works for the one percent that control, nobody else and there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. The other 99 percent that work in capitalism, especially black, are violated and exploited. I know you are pro-capitalist so there's no point in talking to you about this, especially if you won;t read evidence that contradicts your line of thought

And check my post history as I've posted solutions throughout the site in tons of threads; the first thing is the changing of the political system; once that happens, then it will force capitalism to be reevaluated and lose alot of power...long discussion for another thread but like I said, I've said all this before

Yes I am a black person, so I don't why you keep referring to me as a cac. But Here's the reason why i support privatization and why I am against affirmative action. The federal government would like to believe that they are creating jobs for the purpose of the people, but what they're really doing is increasing government power and limiting the power of companies who create real wealth and real jobs. If you believe that the president or congress should have the power to create private-sector jobs you're the uninformed one. Capitalism is freedom in its purest form, and it has very little to do with monopoly or greed; it's about a capitalist realizing that he must create value for others, and by doing so many people benefit from his financial objectives. you seem to believe that pursing economic freedom is "bad", but the fact of the matter is that there is no such thing as the common good, because what you consider to be good for you may be bad for me, and vice versa. A privatize business should have to dictate what they should pay employees, and if the employee feels that the pay is not up to his standards he has the right to leave at any time, and find a business that fits his needs.

Affirmative action does more harm than good because people use it as way to discredit black people from getting their accomplishments recognized. Thomas Sowell says that "Liberals have pushed affirmative action, supposedly for the benefit of blacks and other minorities. But two recent factual studies show that affirmative action in college admissions has led to black students with every qualification for success being artificially turned into failures by being mismatched with colleges for the sake of racial body count."

He also drops this gem right here "One of the most polarizing and counterproductive liberal crusades of the 20th century has been the decades-long busing crusade to send black children to predominantly white schools. The idea behind this goes back to the pronouncement by Chief Justice Earl Warren that “separate educational facilities are inherently unequal.”Yet within walking distance of the Supreme Court where this pronouncement was made was an all-black high school that had scored higher than two-thirds of the city’s white high schools taking the same test — way back in 1899!"

The reason you are for affirmative action is because you want to surround yourself with whites, you want to go their schools, live in their neighborhoods, date their women(pawgs anyone?) that's the real reason you're so found of liberalism and affirmative action; also you have some nerve mentioning hatred when you and your ilk have great contempt for black women I rather not pull 400 threads of black women bashing by you and your brehs. Your masculinity has been to damaged due to white supremacy, so now you feel that you in order for you to feel that you are a "man" you have to demonstrate misogyny against black women.[DOUBLEPOST=1397427125][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm black.
I'm not sure you understand how affirmative action really works. It's not a check mark schools/jobs use to make a certain quota. A school is not required to keep a certain percentage of minority students. What they can do is use race as only a "plus factor" in deciding whether to accept a student. If two students have equal qualifications, and one happens to black while the other is white, the black person's race can be used as the deciding factor. Therefore, a black person that is accepted at a school was accepted on their merits, not because they are black. For more information, read the Supreme Court cases Grutter v. Bollinger or Gratz v. Bollinger. Affirmative action is an affirmative defense that is used if someone were to challenge this practice under the Fourteenth Amendment's Equal Protection Clause. A black person gets to have a chance at these places because we were not given these opportunities for centuries. No black person should ever have the mentality that they are only a token that was used to check off the diversity box. We achieve on our merits, not because of gifts from the government. Affirmative action provides protection to provide us with these opportunities.

Capitalism only works for the 1 percent and since you have trouble with reading comprehension and interpretative skills, I've always argued that racism and capitalism, which is racial capitalism (since capitalism was built on the slave trade and slavery) are connected. Once you read up then you can discuss with me, but you are a novice here[DOUBLEPOST=1397433642][/DOUBLEPOST]

Exactly. OP got their knowledge from third party racists that know nothing of how affirmative action works
