Yup...u said it best, they didn't want to be taken seriously...how can u be mad when people don't take them seriosuly?...a few rappers can pull that off the rest just come off as corny.

:rudy:
whos mad? stop reading the screen with anger.

hes a homo cuz he brought up his favorite wet dream partner, whos a solo act, to compare to a group of 3.
hes so obsessed he brings em up anywhere now.
he probably has cleaning out my closet playing as you type.

They made great music, but i've never considered their music to be Hip-Hop

what about the first album? all the others went into experimental mode, but the first album was somewhat hip hop driven.

Don't get wrong , their music is Hip-Hop rooted, but it's never been straight up Hip-Hop to me, good music.

licensed to ill is the worst of their first 4 albums

paul's boutique
ill communication/check your head, depending on what you're looking for
licensed to ill

licensed to ill has a shtick and is a lot of barking. i love it, and obviously the schtick is more blatant when compared to when they were at their creative peaks (the next 3 albums), but its not touching the others, artistically.

and paul's boutique is a straight hip hop record. the rest they jumped back and forth

they went at bill laimbeer :krs:

That's due to their influence as a punk band before they made hip hop music. I could say the same thing about Bad Brains because of their reggae influence. Doesn't negate their impact on the genre though.

I'm not negating their obvious influence at all, but i've never considered them straight up Hip-Hop. More off a Leftfield Fusion act.

I asked if the g-unit album you chose trumps ANY beastie album, and you reply with whats above.
who's giving rebuttals and making USELESS FUKKIN STATEMENTS THAT DONT ANSWER THE ORIGINAL QUESTION? :rudy:
you dont know what a debate is yet alone say I started one with you.
