That album is insane man, the production values are fukking NUTS.
Looking back ?
Definitely a top 10 Hip-Hop album.
NO QUESTION.

:mjpls:
I've been saying that Royce and Lu think Jay-Z is one of the G.O.A.T. rappers of all time.
:pachaha:

I haven't listened to the podcast yet but anyone who paid attention to various interviews, flows these dudes use
rhyme structure etc. knows who fukks with who more.

Facts. People comparing Lupe to Nas was always weird to me, lol...how? Why? Listen to him, he sounds like/flows like/raps like Jay-z...just a smarter version.

i remember fairly clearly Lupe showing great respect for Nas when he first came out. Saying It Was Written was his fav album ever and stuff like that. Everyone expected him to be a Jay Stan but was surprised when he talked about Nas so much.

How on earth did you forget nikkas Bleed, Last Day, and The World is Filled but put Player Hater? :what:
Idk man, I was just going straight off of memory.

And Player Hater was that shyt!! Everybody was runnin around singing that shyt, lol. Whenever somebody you know got robbed (and didn't get hurt) it was almost mandatory to sing that "You've beeeen rooooobbed" shyt to them

I remember people thinking this shyt was a diss, mocking 2pac's robbery, :ohhh:

I feel what you are trying to say here

and I'm a pac fan ... I respect Biggie ... Its a classic for sure but definitely not the greatest. I'm not even saying Pac is either.
Might as well just say "one of the best"

To those in here talking shyt about Pac :

If LAD didn’t have filler tracks, then why the fukk did they release it as a 1 disc album as well as a double?

All Eyez On Me could never have been narrowed down to a single disc album. It just wasn’t possible.

Life After Death is right up there with All Eyez On Me, of course it is. No other hip hop double album comes close to those 2.
But for me no other album comes close to AEOM.

Also, Wu Tang Forever had classics but IMO it was a mess compared to AEOM & LAD.

marketing strategy. Double albums we're expensive for the average kid and they wanted everyone to have a chance to hear the GREATNESS. So a single disc was affordable :yeshrug::ehh:

He created his rap name based on Nas as said It Was Written was his favorite rap album of all time.
