Every single rap album that’s considered a classic have skippable tracks.
Liquid Swords? The Diary? I don't skip anything on either.

I didn’t really listen to Labels or Gold off Liquid Swords.

And only “mind playing tricks on me 94” is the track that I rarely listened to off the diary

There’s 1 skip, maybe 2. Another and Nasty Boy. Both are really things that probably were booming at parties and shyt during that era but couldn’t pass the test of time due to the beats and hooks.

But really, Another is underrated and playful.

That’s two hours of music with 7 minutes of skips.

You dudes wanna compare it to 35 minute albums with zero hits and sales.

This deterministic way of judging music is so weird. It’s like you’re limiting your complex brain to be a simpleton ass static algorithm.

you got to be careful when you use the "sales" and "hits" argument. Because every time someone brings up sales in pertaining to albums being the best, that means Hammer and Vanilla Ice got claims to having 2 of the best hip hop albums ever.

There isn't one Hip Hop classic without skippable tracks.

Granted, it’s only an 8 track album if you don’t count the intro as a proper track

That’s not what I’m saying though, not even close to it.

Actually agree with OP. Consider it a 4/5, not a classic. Like a few already said, classic songs throughout but lots of skips as well.

some of yall don't know wtf yall talking about :mjlol:

LAD was a GIANT LEAP in terms of skills

the STRONGEST JOINTS are so great that nothing else matters after that, the impact in the story telling, the dark errie production on some of these songs are a prime example of what someone at their PEAK is capable of. THIS WAS A DIFFERENT RAPPER than the one on RTD. This was a MASTER at work! the few "Mid" joints are given a pass because of the TREMENDOUS VALUE he brought on the whole project. No one can overlook the album and till this day no one has been able to balance out a project like this. He had at least 4 story telling joints on this project where nowadays, most rappers don't even try to get this creative :wow:

f*ck what anyone else gotta say about this masterpiece :pacspit:
