I am part of the last generation that grew up without the internet.
my freshman year of college was my first introduction to the internet and at that time there was no Google, Yahoo, Amazon...it was a mess. i just ignored it.

anyway...when i was a kid i had to actually do things with other things or people.

i have fallen to the all to easy attraction of the internet and stopped doing things in the real world and i am very aware of this because i remember what i was like before the internet was a part of my life.

don't even get me started on cell phones...i personally have not had a cell phone for the past 6 years.
i hate seeing people out at bars with their friends and all 6 people are staring at their phones...wtf?

i went on a trip to Hawaii a couple of months ago and found myself goofing with my tablet so i could take pictures of where i was when i should have been actually looking at what i was surrounded by and that upset me.

sorry for the long post but i'm listening to a podcast about this subject and i would love to hear some opinions.

The internet is amazing. The collective knowledge it holds is mind blowing. Its one of the greatest achievements of mankind. We're to have it.

i use to get into heated debates about the internet with folks. i was trying to explain that it was the future, and nikkas would be hit me with the

i had friends telling me sending letters beats emailing, instant messaging is pointless, knowing how to type is nerd shyt. now black folks are some the most social media loving groups around.

i had a small circle that understood though, we were making thousands off clickcash (older webmasters should remember this) in our teens

i just used to watch tv and be indoctrinated, or ride my bike. I remember getting the internet when i was like 12 and well my life changed
