I had gaming computers and internet since the late 90's

The overuse of the cellphone thing bothers me in public for sure.

i went my first year of college w/o it. the internet around '99 was atrocious. there was a site called the-real.com? that had the latest music but it was all streamed on ra files.

i think kids today have it way better than we did. they're more likely to be entrepreneurs, they have tons of info at their fingertips & things like social media are mostly good

My parents got Prodigy in '92. I was amazed at the sports scores getting updated every 10 minutes.

I think about this from time to time. I've fully embraced technology and the internet, my Outlook calendar pretty much reigns supreme over my professional life, and has even got to the point of me putting personal events on there to keep my life in order. But as much as technology has changed my work life, my favorite thing to do is still meet with clients face to face, I think it's something that's become missing in a lot of the current world.

Prodigy showed me the way though, back in 7th grade. Looking at other postings from people God knows where about Mortal Kombat I was just :ohlawd: and amazing to think about.

My favorite thing is that it's pretty much nullified the long distance telephone market. That was rape for my parents generation, and if you had a friend that moved away you had to budget for that call, and keep it to 15 mins or less. FaceTime, Skype, phones, internet, keeping in contact long distance these days is pretty phenomenal.

I remember online gaming in the beginning (not XBox live :comeon: ). Calling your friend to see if his parents would allow him to clog up the phone line. Then you'd have to directly connect to one another with a dial-up connection and boom (by boom, I mean a few minutes later) you're playing Doom against another person. :krs:

Never heard of that before, that sounds like some old school shyt :gladbron:.
