i'm not sure this is true. if that were the case, you wouldn't see so many 25-34 year olds living at home or with relatives. they aren't washed. your average 34 year old grew up with the internet.

back in 1970 you could work as a cashier or waitress and have enough money for your own apartment AND a new car.

it's prolly hella easy to make 1000$ real quick via the internet esp if you are female but actually making a living off it is easier said than done.
Naw it's true, it's way easier to get money now because of the internet. The problem is ALOT of 25-34 year old's don't want to work or take the time to learn something.

I know a couple broke ones right now :snoop: and it's like this. I give you a 200 page book and say if you read this and make it to the end,you are GUARANTEED to make money.

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
Way waaaaaay easier to get $$$ right now
Na, it's about the same because in those days, you could find a decent college level or easily get into a trade career coming out of high school like my parents did.

On the contrary, you can easily find WFH jobs with no experience now.

I would say 2008 was the hardest time.

I'll never understand the head in sand while you allow corporations to fukk you mentality some of y'all have when you say things like this. No finances in 2022 aren't as easy to manage as they were in 1970. People are getting married at older ages because it takes more time to achieve financial stability in 2022 than it did in 1970 and the number 1 cause for divorce (which is far more rampant in 2022 than it was in 1970) is financial. People are GMB as a result of all the divorces based on the elevated level of difficulty in managing finances in 2022. The wise approach marriage with caution in 2022 whereas in the 70's it was a sure fire thing a 21 year old could handle.

We grew up in a time where going to college can ruin your life, people in 1970's could not fathom college being a vehicle that could potentially financially ruin you. Just think about that for a second.

This is due to immigration.

Immigrants are much more likely to remain at home with family until married or even beyond that.

In my experience Americans born here especially those whose families have been here for generations move out and get their own places much more often.

I used to work with an Asian man (2nd generation) who was an accountant making $75K in his mid thirties and he lived at home with his parents. He said since he had no wife and kids he had no reason to move out.
Realistically staying with your parents until you are economically stable should be normalized anyways. I noticed a lot of immigrants seem to have an easier time building wealth than Americans do simply because they stay 3 or 4 generations deep under one roof with everyone contributing financially.
We lucky to just a dual income household, meanwhile they rocking with 6 or 7 income ones.
and the thing about it is the women from said cultures probably think it’s normal for men to be at home until they are married.

when i was coming up you thugged it out with roommates or in a basement and made your own way until you could afford to live on your own not still sucking on ya mammys titty. who wants to be 25 getting some booty in their moms house, have her still clockin all your movements?

people are more lazy and antisocial in general not just giving up on marriage
Imagine a bytch being able to scream at the top of her lungs unrestricted being up there for one of the reasons for moving out…I get it :mjcry: but on the flip side your upward mobility will take longer than if you stayed at home, stacked and got that place with a wife.

However if you land a 6fig job fresh out of college then by all means get your own place.

If you meant to be somebody, you will. If you aren't, you won't. Doesn't matter if it's 1970 or 2022

This quote pretty much sums it up..

The blue print to success is laid out. Its not a secret. There are pinned threads in the 6 Figures 6 Certs forum about getting started in IT careers right now from 2012. I guarantee you every person who followed the advice in that thread from 2012 or 2013 is making well over 100k right now. EVERY SINGLE PERSON.

THERE ARE NO EXCUSES. The smart people who decide today to look in that forum and follow that advice will be making over 100k 5 years from now. It wont be instant. The grind isnt fun. You will miss out on things and might have to sacrifice your social life temporarily. It will take a lot of hard work and getting paid peanuts for a few years but if you stick with it you are guaranteed to get paid well once you have 3 to 4 years experience under your belt. The blueprint is there. Folks are just too lazy to put in the work and want to live like celebrities they worship on Instagram.

People stay complaining.

I'll second @Malcolmxxx_23 it's EASIER than ever to make cash. Only difference is it takes some effort vs. In the 70s when u just walked into a job and were told what to do.

Really showcases the world's talent level in the 2020s...
I taught my Down Syndrome cousin how to arbitrage iPhones with cracked screens, fix them and resell them on eBay & FB Marketplace for profit. Everything I taught him, I learned on YouTube for FREE. This fool fukked around and had gross sales of almost a quarter million last year and netted a little over $90k. Meanwhile, I tried to teach my other cousin, who has no mental deficits, the exact same thing. After two days, he says he doesn't have time for it and has shyt to do.
