IR marriage, specifically black white marriage, is arguably the most taboo in America. Blacks in other countries are usually immigrants from Africa. They're ancestors were likely never enslaved by whites (in the country they immigrate to) so the racism against them isn't evoking deep seated historical injustices.

Also when you voluntarily immigrate to a country you're not going to be as outspoken about racism and are more likely to assimilate with the countries culture (unless you're muslim).

America and perhaps brazil are the only two countries I can think of that has a minority black population who are descendants of slaves so the black white relationship is (justifiably) more hostile.

Those Black women from the Uk and Canada tell a different story then the one Black men try to project to the world.
The only difference is AAs are honest about our problems. That is one of the reasons we are able to overcome them.

That's the underlying cultural belief in a lot of contexts, Asian, African, old European, Middle eastern. Means you don't have to be outside too much (to work). Same way....



Fat = rich

You eat well therefore you are rich and healthy. This is particularly in African and Middle eastern societies. Skinny people are seen to be sick and suffering.

Now if we're talking about noses and narrow faces. Koreans even make fake cheekbones I blame Ms. Universe.

For Caucasian people today

Tan skin = rich

Means you earn enough to go on holiday

i would have to agree. With african migrants, most of em kind of feel grateful for whitey for letting them in their country, context is different and so they feel more inclined to assimilate. With Black Americans and Brazilians, well, the history kind of fukks up any relationships with whites. I mean im a first generation Australian and i dont have beef with whites and i generally associate with more whites than blacks. While on the other hand the aborigines might have a different opinion, Its all about that history

Wat? I just agreed with your point. Racism against Blacks in canada or europe is likely just as bad as racism against Blacks in America but since blacks in Europe and Canada voluntarily migrate to those countries they're not gonna be as outspoken about racism than AA's.
Since Africans in euro and CAN aren't as outspoken about racism and are more willing to assimilate to the culture (yes seek white approval), IR marriage isn't as taboo among those populations.
