This thread has nothing to do with my personal feelings on the matter, maybe its cuz I am Nigerian and lived there for most of my life, but I actually prefer dark skinned women

You can't discuss skin color preferences without seriously acknowledging the history of white supremacy that comes along with it. To pretend that such "preferences" exist in a vacuum would be disingenuous, especially since the larger conversation of light-skinned privilege is REAL and affects how we view and treat each other as black people (not only in the dating context, but when it comes to prison sentences, etc it is statistically proven that light skinned blacks are treated better).

6'3 light skin dude here and the black women I run into....they always talk about how they like dark skin men. There is literally some women who wont even talk to me or any light skin dudes.....but hey oh well

They're called lifts. My dude who was 5'7 barefoot and 5'8 with sneakers on wanted a pair of em. So he got em and he was now 5'7 barefoot and 5'10 with sneakers/lifts. Dude felt much more confident then ever but whenever he went to smash a chick they would comment on his sudden height loss. Another thing he couldn't do was take them off because he would be 5'8 again. Took him a while to wear sneakers without lifts.

Dang bruh had it bad. I know me considering using these would seem to equate to me having low self esteem about myself; but really I just want to be 6 even. I blame the doctor that told me I would be 6 ft tall . I have no problem being 5'10'' just wanna try being above average height to see if there is a difference in the way people act. It is what it is...
