Whenever i think about jim cornette and his knowledge on the business

I think about how in 97 and 98 this motherfukker was trying to roll out the new midnight expess, the headbangers, and just the most terrible shyt while talking DOWN the nWo, and in an era where stonecold and bret and hbk were hot

Hes done and has been since 95

Cornette always talks like he knows what's good for "the business" when his promotion failed horribly in the 90s (with a financial backer) and he hasnt done shyt since "Shooting" on Hogan and Piper 20 yrs ago

He clearly has a gimmick he's working for shoot interviews and Youtube/blog hits. You can't do 700 shoot interviews per year and then complain about people "exposing the business". The same dude complaining about a guy wrestling a blow up doll booked a wrestling mummy and the Boogeyman for his companies. :usure:

Cornette did a pretty damn good job running developmental for the WWE. In fact, you could even argue WWE Developmental hasn't even been that great ever since they fired Cornette.

Besides the 4 Horsewomen & Alexa Bliss, NXT hasn't actually developed a main event star that wasn't already huge on the Indy's or overseas. Maybe Roman Reigns? That's really it :patrice:

can't even claim all 4 since Becky had a name before wwe

this is true tho. Meltzer broke down why OVW worked better than NXT In terms of actually making stars. he made alot of sense.

OVW had one class of super talents at a time when WWE had no choice but to pull up young guys and push them to the moon. The Brock/Cena/Batista/Orton (and I guess Shelton) class was unique to OVW, as the rest of the time it was dudes like Nick Dinsmore/Bashams/Rob Conway/Rico type dudes. You could really argue that Cornette didn't do much with the class of 2002, because all of those dudes got called up super early (arguably not ready at all in the cases of Cena and Batista) and were forced to sink or swim on the main roster.

Cornette seeing that those guys could potentially be big stars for WWE a few years down the road shouldn't be treated the same as training them or getting them to that spot.

GOATsso been trying to end the beef, but cornette won't ever end otherwise he'd have nothing to talk about

Of course Russo is trying to end the beef. I assume it's exhausting having your worst failings and that one time you nearly killed the wrestling business in America dragged up every week. Bless his heart.
