In the 2018 Finals, you knew who was getting the ball for the Cavs, for GS 3 of 5 players are historical threats, which allows remaining 2 players to be threats......and LeBron still got his.

KD is an all-time great, just won't be up there with LeBron

Like the context of LeBron jumping all over the league for roster refreshes every 4 years and calling him the GOAT for squeaking passed a middling pacers team in the first round :mjlol:
I see you are just hating, but he still ended up winning the chip after passing that pacers squad. The pacers were actually good too anyway. Either way beating 73-9 is what put him in the convo.

So if Durant wins 7 Titles does that mean he's better than Jordan?

I'm talking about this year's playoffs when the media was fellating him for squeaking passed the pacers and a depleted Celtics in 7 games, calling him the GOAT, trying to name him finals MVP before a second was played... Then he proceeded to quit at the end of regulation of game 1, run from KD on weak ass screens like he saw Deebo peddling up the block allowing Rodney Hood to guard him for the shot that was the pivotal one of the finals, got swept, showed up to the presser for an shameless bit of performance art feigning a broken hand that was miraculously healed the next week as he jumped off of water falls

They knew coming into this that he was ridiculously out matched team wise position for position. The fake broken hand thing is lame I agree with that, but everything else is justified for me. Bron didn't need to be wasting his energy defending if everyone else can't hit shyt. That's why if he managed to get a game on them (which JR smith ruined and potentially changed the series, granted I'm not expecting them to really WIN either way). TBH, I don't see getting swept as a stain because his teammate did the most bone headed play in finals history. To me context matters. I know everyone always says oh your blaming everyone but him, but what does he really do wrong, as an individual on the basketball court?

Do people realize this isn't back in the day and all the games are actually televised and every single stat and all the game footage is kept in great detail? This argument assumes that something is going to be lost to history like in Bill Russell's day. If anything Lebron will probably eventually take over the GOAT role from Jordan when he retires and more people fully appreciate what he's done for the game for so long.

Except for the part where he gets 6+ rings and is undefeated in the finals, LeBron has lived up to the hype.

Meanwhile KD joined 73-9 during his and their primes.

One guy leads his team in all facets, the other can now just show up in the finals (barring injury).

Any Bron vs KD comparison goes like this now:

LeBron > KD

or

LeBron < KD........

.....with 73-9

Yall wanna put KD on a pedestal, you going the wrong way about it pitting him vs Bron. You need to go the "Better than 96 Bulls" route because now KD DOES get all the credit for cementing Warriors dynasty and future 3-4peats. The man shows up in the finals, and they damn sure need him.

Lebron has 1 finals win against Durant the last two years.

Hes 1-8 against him. It’s not even a competition anymore between the two.

Wait.

Did GSW win because KD is better than LBJ or because the Warriors are an infinitely better than the Cavs?

If it's the first part then let me get my report ready for this Rip Hamilton > Kobe Bryant thread then :mjlol:

You clowns throw all logic out the window when discussing Bron :mjlol:

You love mentioning 3-6 and how rings are the be all end all but you’re in here propping up KD with blatant disregard for context. The guy did not start winning rings until he joined the 73-9 team with the unanimous MVP that was one game away from being back-to-back champs. Ask any Warriors fan who the most important player on the Warriors is and I guarantee you no one would say KD :wow:

KD spent nine years in OKC and played alongside a future MVP for 8 of those years with nothing to show for it. He was on a team that had more than enough talent to win a title and proved it when they advanced to the finals while their young core were all in their early 20s. When his team wasn’t battling injuries, they were routinely disappointing. It all culminated with dude joining the team that came back from down 3-1 to beat him.
