for the last few years under the les miles era, it really felt like a trigger word gets uttered during that biweek on cue like on some manchurian candidate shyt and our whole coaching staff goes into dim IQ mode and can't barely string together a game plan to even keep it even competitive against bama (while randomly still going 8 to 10 wins a season against mostly everybody else)...years to losing to bama after 2012's NCG made the fanbase develop some concussive stockholm syndrome shyt and it's going to take a while for the some diehards to exorcise those demons even after the recent wins to change the long term expectations of this game, even years later...being a LSU fan from 2012 to 2018 (or prior to 2000...we literally had a head coach die in a plane crash on a recruiting trip and shyt Bo Rein - Wikipedia) was hell given the talent output to the NFL and casual fans only see how great it is after they bandwagoned on recently without the historical context of past torment

...not to mention ref fukkery because of random interpretations of the rule or placing the ball unfavorably on some bad calls back before there was a playoffs
