I so many artists come and go I really don't check for people unless I see their names after a few years indicating they are still making music and that the quality is probably good.

What catches my ears are dudes that freestyle. It used to be even a decade ago for the most part to be accepted into rap you had to spit over classic beats or beat able to hold your own in a freestyle. And not come in the the written/remembered verses and this was around the time drake was reading lyrics off his phone.....I still haven't listened to Autotune rap since tpain/lil Wayne era. All these "rappers" blowing up, even getting threads only to be killed 6months or a year later either literally or on wax, in jail or beat up online only to stop/quit...for what? I guess we can appreciate what we get but I'd rather listen to someone with multiple albums, mixtape, features, etc.
