already broke through the southern circuit and is selling out shows coast 2 coast city to city. Southern artists have trouble getting out that southern circuit and he blew right past that shyt.

the one thing I always tell people is that Atlanta radio is blessed to be able to go an entire day just playing their own music. They don't have to play any other city's music, they set the trends for every other radio DJ in this country, and they also don't have to worry as much about pushing some agenda for a label. Streetz 94.5 on a Friday night is some of the best mixes I hear on a weekly basis, and they stay putting me on new shyt way before anyone else, a rarity for radio.
I've heard Bay Area, LA, NYC, and Chicago radio and none of them hold a candle to ATL.
They've definitely built a strong network of A&Rs DJs Artists etc.

you thinking outliers, and even if that's the case you can't overlook the fact that southern artists had to put in a lot of work just to sell out shows outside of their region in the past.
Kevin Gates was doing music since 2007 and it took him until 2014 to make it to the west coast when I saw him in a small venue. Maine Musik can have milly views and he won't be doing any shows outside his region. Blac Youngsta was consistently on the road doing small clubs. Starlito just recently did his first tour going across the country and he's been making music close to near 20 years.
Lil Baby done that in one year. Establishing a fanbase that is loyal enough to buy tickets for his performances is a testament to his music, and that's without having to rainbow dye his hair or having a label push his music to crakkkas and lil kids.
buddy its 2018, southern, particularly Atlanta, music has been on top for 20 years. Everyone across the country listens to southern music. southern artists have established networks through the south (small clubs, DJs, radio, strip clubs). every city i've been to up and down the east coast plays southern music

I ain't tryna argue the music isnt popular, but getting people to stream your shyt on YouTube is way different than being able to sell out shows on the opposite side of the country. It takes a lot of hard work, Lil Baby done did that shyt in a year.
