The drums on this album are hard as hell

I don’t get the complaints. This is a good project.

It is weird that there is no Gunna 42 or Moneybagg feature
You like anything and everything that sniffs top 40. Any time you post something hyping it up, you can guarantee it’s something that is at best very mid.

Off first listen it’s decent but not the home run I was expecting. 23 songs was unnecessary.

Might be in the minority but I feel like he peaked at Harder Than Ever

I like baby good album for the treadmill.

Durk better tho, I can actually follow what he trying to say on his records and he plays with his voice more. Baby just raps nonsense and it sounds the same for 23 songs

A few things:

I. He's batting 100 as far as album covers are concerned.

II. I think that the front half of this is better than the backend

III. This is probably not even album of the last 2 months, let alone AOTY as been mentioned in here a cpl times 👀

I think there's some lil baby fatigue going into this album.

This is true.

It also doesn't help (imo) that he doesn't have one of the better "rap voices" to be trying to consistently shove 20+ tracks down people's throat.

As fire as My Turn was, it still was exhausting after awhile with his tone.

I lost interest in this around "Waterfall Flow" and nothing really pulled me back in fr til the last song Russian roulette.

Quiet as kept, Rich Homie's new shyt > This but he's not clouted anymore so, it is what it is.

Definitely this. I think a lot of this generation has taken a lot from wayne except one of the major reasons he's remained relevant, and that's his variance and experimentation.

It never felt like wayne was following a formula for his songs, every song took a life of it's own, for better or for worse. Even now I don't think 2 songs on carter 5 sound too similar to each other.

And he's managed to reinvent his sound and voice like 3 or 4 times over the years. Wayne 10 years ago doesn't even audibly sound the same as Wayne now.

yeah…I think i’m done with Lil Baby at this point

shyt sounds so bland and uninspiring. There’s the occasional standout but that’s it

It's a redemption album.

He's straight to the point - no games or gimmicks. Just straight up rapping.

He doesnt allow the beats to drown out his rapping. If you actually followed LIl baby then you would know that his beats would drown out his rappin and flow.

Based on its own merit, hows the album?

Not in comparison to his peers or his previous albums/mixtapes.
