wtf are y’all talking about. No one gives a fukk about what y’all think about some shyt you can’t afford

just like these white ass jewelers don’t give a fukk about a black man giving them their money and them getting tinfoil in return.

Black people had were whipped and chained in this country. Now nikkas are dying to buy shiny chains and rings like bytches.

It’s the mindset and mentality my little nikka. Open up your eyes to the bigger picture

Y'all missing the point. There's a difference between custom jewelry and replicas.

Most rappers are rocking custom. You not going to any "shop" or "jeweler" and getting the same chain as your favorite rapper.

Chains with rappers names, logo, cartoon characters and shyt are custom. Jewelers aren't making dozens or hundreds of those. A lot of those pieces are real, depending on how much the rapper wants to spend on his custom piece.

As far as limited quality shyt like watches. There's a tracking, certification process for those. You can verify if your Rolex is real or a fake.

damn they legit

Gabriel Jacobs / Rafaello & Co
If Jacob the Jeweler was the go-to jeweler in the 90’s era for rappers, that title in the present era belongs to Gabriel Jacobs and his well-renowned NYC jewelry shop, Rafaello & Co. Together with his uncle Eric Aranbayev, their shop caters to some of the biggest Hip-Hop stars ruling the music waves right now: DJ Khaled, Jay-Z, Swizz Beatz, Nick Cannon, Busta Rhymes and Rick Ross, to name a few. When DJ Khaled was promoting his most recent album titled Suffering from Success, he pulled a publicity stunt on MTV by proposing to Nicki Minaj with a diamond ring from Gabriel Jacobs valued at $500,000.

And also, have you ever seen huge golden Cuban Link chain that Jay-Z sometimes wears? It supposedly weighs about 11lb and that was created by Rafaello & Co too. They have even made pieces for the lovely and very sexy Kate Upton and created jewelry for Saudi Royalty as well. These jewelers are certainly on the top of their game.
they really did get "got" by whoever they got that watch from, Jigga, kate and the saudi's not rocking no fugazi ass shyt

The appraisal doesn't mean much from the buyers perspective, all that is going to matter is the authenticity. The appraisal is just going to give you a ballpark figure.

What I mean by that is let's say you want a SPECIFIC watch and it appraises for 30k, but you can't find it anywhere for under 40k. The jeweler isn't going to care that you say it's only worth 30k, if they can sell it for 40k.

This makes 0 sense.

The appraisal allows the buyer to make an informed decision. My expectation wouldn't be to hold the buyer to the 30k valuation. However if there was a huge difference, I would question why and/or walk away.

We're literally dealing with a situation where some idiot paid 400k for false goods and you have people in here dismissing the benefit of having high value goods appraised before purchase.

That makes him an idiot.

I don't really know what your point is. I'm not going to rely on a quick Google search when buying goods over 400k. Most people are not experts on the matter, myself include, so the results will only give a general understanding.

If he has 20 other watches that have not been appraised, he might want to change that. Can't rely on scamming Lil Baby being bad for business to argue that the others are legit when he actually got scammed.

My point is the watch is well known in certain circles so an appraisal wasn’t necessary to determine the value.

Artists purchase jewelry and watches all the time and there’s never appraisals being done. It’s based on relationships with the jewelers and trust. They go to several jewelers so many verify process and know what they’re buying.

If in the future they have issues with their purchases they’ll be problems and those jewelers will eventually be out of business.

Lil Baby’s not an idiot.

Authentication determines if the item is real or fake.

Appraisal determines the value.

Yes an appraisal would determine the authenticity also but he knew the value so he wouldn’t pay to get the watch appraised.

That’s the point you’re missing.

But you got it because I’m saying the same things over and over again.
