If dude is really an artist and believes in making great music, why doesn't he study music/film/literature, etc.... things that can directly improve his art? But nah, he wants to study comp engineering.

Your thinking is precisely why a lot of entertainment is a cesspool. I'm blown away that anyone who claims to love art on any level thinks it's a waste of time to study art. No wonder y'all are so in love with mediocrity. How do you think great work gets produced? By chance?

Bibby's even lucky. He already has the platform. It's not like some random person like myself who went to study art knowing that my degree could be useless but doing it because I want to up my craft and having zero idea if it will ever mean anything.

My whole point is that Bibby has some sort of platform. He's already blown. So the "what if it never works out" is never a factor. It's already worked out.

So I'm saying: why wouldn't you strive to be better in the humanities? It would make him excel as a rapper ten-fold. And he could obviously use the coaching. Why not pursue it if you're really passionate about hip hop?

Computer engineers have a Higher success percentage then gang members, financially and life expectancy wise. Also it's less taxing on the spirit and our families giving us more time to dedicate to thanking God, friend so really he's made the BETTER decision.
