Somehow...I feel like I knew this.

In a way I can see why, he was a child star and a very lucrative one at that, so he was probably pushed/pressured a lot.

Just because he may have continued through adulthood, doesnt mean he neccesarily enjoyed but rather did it for any potential money gains.
This. I bet by 16/17 he got tired of the game quick.

:dahell: how is that better?

To make a profit while making those ridiculus statements is better? People would say he just saying that to sell the book/publicity or w/e. Would've made him look like them countless reality show-gossip-book-making hoes lookin for come-ups.

This social media-gossip-y era we live in :snoop:
twitter is really shallow, you can't explain things right on twitter. Important things aren't black and white like twitter statements are

...There's this thought process that's common among rap fans that if you're not selling millions right now then your past accomplishments are meaningless. Look how they treat older rappers (who have several platinum albums under their belt). Rap fans are obsessed with relevancy and the 'right now'. Selling 20+ million records 10 years ago doesn't mean shyt to these people.
The disrespect annoys me. White folks do not shyt on Elvis or Johnny Cash because they are stars of yesteryear. Why cannot hip hip heads shown some fukking RESPECT?!?

I got to agree I have loved rap music for years but I can't imagine being made to rap at 5 I wrote my first rhyme when I was 9 to 10 years old. Besides being a child with that kind of intention had to have been dope. I can't believe I said that I hated him when I was younger

i could give af about this argument, but the Elvis and Johnny Cash's in hip hop are the upper echelon guys like Biggie, Pac..
in correlation to white music culture , Bow Wow would be somebody from N'Sync

In other words stop being dramatic. He dont demand no type of respect for moving units from his teenage girl demographic.

True, but maybe that statement wasnt meant to be deep. Just was what it was. Just expressing himself.
Regardless tho im sure he'll be asked about this thing when/if he goes on a promo run/interview.

WusGood's post == case in point

Bow Wow was earnng millions before age 18, but you cannot respect that? Well alright then. u_u

He wasn't Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, but Shad Moss was a productive child artist (who had to rap for his supper whether he wanted to or not). It costs me nothing to acknowledge that.

That's why he is saying this now and not back then. Nobody is checking for his music now, so he's saying it don't matter because I never liked rapping anyway, which is corny
:what: because atleast you could actually make decent money rapping back then, you could be trash and you'd still go plat/gold AND actually make bread off of those sales, why would he say that a potentially fukk up his cashflow

now the money aint even comparable unless you in the top 2% so he doesn't care

only corny part is that he put that on twitter, shoulda just went about his acting shyt and if someone asked him why he stopped rapping he could tell them
