it's so much money invested in putting together and prosecuting a case like this they want it airtight by the time it goes to trial, and they wanna charge and convict everyone they can. eyewitness testimony is also one of the more difficult types of evidence to get to hold weight in the trial so they wanna prep their witness the best they possibly can.

they wanna know they're gonna win by the time they get it moving, and there's no rush to prosecute because statute of limitations isn't a problem.

Video is video, unless they didn't have access it until recently or its a bad video I don't see why it would take so long. Something fishy

I don't get it, if they got a witness naming him specifically and him on video...why did they arrest others and take long to arrest him.

A single eyewitness is not as solid as multiple eye witnesses.

Prosecutors don't need to show all the evidence in the case at a preliminary hearing, only enough to get the case bound over for trial. I would say the best deal he will get is 8-10 years, but we still don't know very much information, but the fact that he was allegedly

A) The shooter

B) Witnesses saw him with a gun

C)Video shows him with a gun or firing a gun

will make it hard to get a better deal than 8 years, unless the Atlanta DA's office wants to take him to trial, which they may.
