I know plenty of nikka that took their time on the chin and didn't fold, you usually don't hear about them much because that's where their stories end. Their nikkas forget about them and some probably end up getting double digits anyway for some other BS they committed after you threw your life away to save them.

A lot of nikkas that held their heads up in interrogation end up regretting it once it sets in that their life as they know it is done. But it's about principle.
