Lil Jay may have taken a plea bargain for the May 2015 murder of Filmon Rezene, 25. During an interview with SayCheeseTV, longtime friend of Lil Jay, Famous Dex, was asked about his relationship with the incarcerated rapper.

Famous Dex responded: “I holler at Double 0 a couple times….He good. Bro just took five years. Bro a be home real soon.”

If this is true, Lil Jay will be released from prison in 2020, when he is 26 years old. Lil Jay was building a fanbase in Chicago, bringing energy to the Chicago “drill scene” and was known for his friendship with the late Chicago rapper, Lil Jojo.
