They get paid and have good benefits. That's the only perk to the job. That's like saying why people want to be Police officers and risk your damn life.Even if she looked like she could physically deal with them.. who the hell strives to be a damn CO and deal with the refuse of this society

COs arent some trained specialists man. Majority of them will never be in an incident or will ever be dolo if ever said incident pops off. With the exception of the riot team, COs dont do shyt but function as turnkeys and counters. Most folks in jail, and when I say most i mean +90%, are just trying to stay out the way, do their time and go home. And yes, this includes people charged with murder.

This aint the 90s/early 2000s... They conditioned these new soft ass inmates to cherish what little privileges they have...and they completely deaded unity amongst inmates that aint white or wannabees.
Just like any other "dangerous" job in any field outside of this being more mental / psychological awareness, keep your distance from losers, make sure you always know that its only a job, and treat mfs how you want to be treated giving the guidlines you have to follow then shell have a grea chance of having an easy career to move forward in because shell definitely be coddled and protected if she has any lick of common sense and just has go through the motions / politick to be a sarg or lieutenant...
The thing jailhouse nikkas hate, like anybody else or most people period is wishy washy people who try to play cool then switch shyt up... COs who were consistently either strict and fair, or chill were all given their proper respects in regards to their jobs...
