It’s always been like this, it used to be worse but social media makes it look 100x worse
I grew up during the 1k homicides a year era in the 90s.. The violence was concentrated to the projects that was up during that time.. When those projects was torn down, the people was scattered all over the city, bringing that same mentality to stable communities..
Now you have people from the projects getting into it with the inhabitants of an already stable community..
And in no time during the 90s did you have nikkas driving up and down the interstate shooting at "OPPs". Or driving up and down 147th in Dolton hanging out of car windows shooting at "OPPs".. Or standing in the middle of the street on 167th and PULASKI with a AK-47 shooting at "OPPs"..
It's way worse now than then..
