What you write is correct, however, surprisingly I know of two people who have moved from the southside of Chicago (Englewood) to my hometown of Detroit and did well. I worked with one of them as a field sales merchandiser for a beverage company, he eventually got a job working on the line at Chrysler, got married, bought a house in the suburbs and had a few children. He's still in metro Detroit and doing well. The other guy I knew from Chicago got a job at Kroger, went to school for heating and cooling and started his own business, he's still in Detroit and doing well. Both of them were involved with gangs, etc., I know its only two people, but moving to another city can be beneficial for some people.
