Rel is right. TP insistence on writing his own stuff with zero help stems from him being cheap. That’s it. He doesn’t wanna pay black writers scale money. He fired an entire writers room before they got to 100 episodes because they demanded union wages (which were owed). He loved putting us in front of the camera but won’t put us behind it.

Even if he truly enjoys writing, he needs help. Plain and simple.

I think Tyler Perry is a terrible writer but I simply chose not to spend my money on his productions. If his fan Base continue to support his work then more power to him. No one should tell him he should hire other writers when it's his business. If the formula has been working so far why would he listen to anyone else?
