i see what youre saying... but a kid at that age shouldnt have to worry about money. thats his parents job.

In this particular case, whoever his guardians are, they are obviously OK with making money thru the kid. Joe Jackson was the 60's, Matthew Knowles was the 90's and this kids guardians are doing what the current wave in music is. Parents using their kids to make money thru music is a thing.
