Why do y'all want so bad for the music y'all like to be popular.
If people like that stuff for it would be popular and its 2016 we dont need balance
i swear............Dont put words in my mouth where did i say anything bout popular? Its not a popularity contest. i honestly dont care about that breh. If you haven't heard any of of the individuals outside of soul then like it or not you present a problem. The same notion i take in regards to the underground/mainstream discussion (which is weak, dumb and senseless). I'm referring to pure lyricism and versatile which went over your head entirely.
And please don't come with the weak we "don't need balance" i guess you you're find with it being stagnated and one-dimensional. what makes a great musician of any genre (singer, jazz musician, metal head etc) the ability to convey message and be relatable to they listening audience as well as being versatile. Artist can tap into the depth of themselves and pen song. And that relates the mind and thought which you can tell who is serious with how they pen they shyt (if you ever delve into anything artistically from producing, poetry to even photoshop you'll know what im getting at). An artist is suppose to show growth over time. Prime example is Nas challenging himself on Rewind, underground head like Killah Priest doing so on Deja Vu. Couple of others even Shyne or Jeezy.
Another example is someone like Prodigy we ll now P can spit whether jibbin at chick on Hey Luv or clappin somebody like on the Lloyd Banks track from Rotten Apple. Fabolous is another

these dudes keep sleeping breh. Batta showed that he could go the Trap route and drop Loud and be versatile. And it wasnt all the way deep and lyrical with the triple entrendes like he is known for on like The Womb.I wish I could rep you for mentioning The Batta Man.
