The carter always felt more cohesive to me from the structure to the beats to everything. It felt very precise and is just beautiful music. The carter 3 has tracks I love but I had to skip around too much on it and it just felt unfocused as an album. He was in top form on both no question but the first gets more spins from me as a whole. The 2nd felt like a mixtape as opposed to one whole coherent body of work
