Haven’t read the comments yet but listened this morning. It’s wack but it’s not the fact that it’s wack per se. The album just sounds dated and out of touch. There are still glimpses that show he’s capable. A lot of these dudes really need A&Rs or curators.

I like 2 songs. I’ve never been the biggest Wayne fan admittedly, he’s always been a punch line rapper to me.

Bein Myself and Written History are the only two tracks I liked.

Carter 2 and Carter 3 are prime Wayne and even then I recognized him for that he was.

Witty punchlines get repetitive and bland when it’s not a story or cohesiveness behind them.

Also he’s got questionable beat selection. He should have went to the Alchemist or Cardo Got Wings or one of those producers like them to help him with his beats, arrangement, and production. This shyt is all over the place.

goat at what?

15 years of trash music has put a major asterik on his career.
Fully agree with this. Wayne from 2004-2009 was amazing when it came to dropping projects and he was good for features for a few years after that.

But he has dropped mediocre to pure ass albums since 2010 and it has hurt his standing by a lot.

I played the first 15 beats I had loaded from 2016 and I could make an album better than this

Nothing personal in his music. Don’t he kick his girl out? No storytelling..

Not even going to press play cause since D2 it’s been downhill for Wayne. Dudes been mediocre for over a decade. That doesn’t even include the c00nish behavior. He not a good songwriter and his punchlines have always been hit or miss.

Even in his prime (2005-2007)was Wayne as lyrical and creative as Lupe? Was he better at dropping a 16 like Jada? Was he ever as good as punchlines as the PLK Lloyd Banks? Could he evoke emotion with introspection and vulnerability like Joe Budden? Could he make music that resonated with the common bruh like Phonte? Was he a great songwriter writer and u deniable hook/hit writer like 50 Cent?

Even when Pusha dissed him where was his battle records? Where was his “Back 2 Back” or even “Duppy Freestyle”. If you had to hit shuffle on a DSP right now would you rather listen to Wayne or Drake. He influenced Dot but even he eclipsed Wayne with one album (GKMC).

When you really break shyt down dudes not even top 10
