Ill say it again....its mainly black folks put so much weight into what their respective entertainers think politically.

Who gives af what Wayne thinks. Who gives af what Kanye thinks. Who gives af what 50 thinks. These threads shouldn't go beyond 2 pages to keep it a buck BUT we are a community where the likes of athletes(ex. Kap, LeBron) and entertainers (ex. Cardi B, Lizzo, 50, etc.) are voiced as voices for the community. Im not arguing whether their messages are agreeable or not (ex. Im sure we all generally agree with say LeBron's political opinon but disagree with 50 or Wayne) I'm arguing that we shouldnt put too much weight on it either way. And black folks have internalized this.

And to this day its why many male urban youth have dreams of being rappers or ball players as a "way out"

Seems to be an unpopular opinion but I'd like to focus less on black entertainers and more black intellectuals please.
Nah their was some Country Music Cac that wore a Barry Sanders jersey and the MAGAs were losing their shyt because they thought he supported Bernie Sanders

This is a lie.

White people elected a reality show entertainer to president. :mjlol:
true but is that their norm? i doubt it.

when CNN and MSNBC want the "black opinion" they always call up entertainer or athlete for their opinion. Rarely do they call up the likes of a Cornel West.

When Hillary wanted to court the black vote she had Jay Z and Beyonce doing concerts and shyt. I want policy positions not concerts.

Jay Z, Beyonce headline concert for Clinton - CNNPolitics

Hillary Clinton enlisted some star power Friday with a concert featuring Jay Z, Beyonce, Chance the Rapper and Big Sean, part of an effort to drum up excitement behind her campaign the weekend before Election Day.

The group of rap and hip hop icons urged voters to head to the polls on Tuesday and firmly backed Clinton's candidacy.

Jay Z Concerts and Hot Sauce lol this is what they think gets the black vote.

and these are the folks black people vote for in the 95th percentile. more loyal than any other group. nikkas get hot sauce in a bag. BRUH :dead:

Imma let yall cook though. theres a reason why Dems court entertainers for endorsements and not black intellectuals :dead: theres a reason why Biden lets Cardi B interview him :dead: they know that itll get the clicks. If the likes of Cornel West interviewed Biden that shyt wouldnt do any numbers.

I think you are missing the forest for the trees. The concern isn't that you or I give a fukk what Kanye thinks. The concern is that there are people less informed than you or I who care about Kanye's (uninformed) views.
