Anything that replaces your body's natural functions is addictive.

Addiction is: you body has stopped doing the function and depends on the drug or whatever to do it. When you stop the drug, the body takes x amount of time to turn back on.

And that time period is withdrawal. With Carmex your lips will always be dry if you always use it. You have to stop and let your natural functions commence.
