lol Age doesn't make you a man. It was T. Rogers who said he didn't become a man until he was in his thirties.
You're talking about reading contracts but you're not taking into consideration that they may not be able to read at all. That was part of the point of my post about being passed alone in school not based on grades but how well you play. Some of the other things you're saying is over simplifying the process that they actually go through as well. People go to school for years to learn the legal system, contracts etc. and you up here talking about just grab a dictionary. That's what the lawyers and accountants are for and they are taking advantage of people because they know the system and we don't.
I'm not saying that the artist/player is one hundred percent blameless all of the time but when someone is stealing from you, you are the victim. Also lots of players have gone broke because of things like the housing market crashing, the down turn of the economy, the dot com boom etc. It's not always them blowing money or not handling their business or just signing things blindly. Lawyers and accountant can lie and steer artist into financial ruin as well.
That's not what I said
I didn't say they should just read it. I said it's the size of a dictionary and they don't even read it OR have it read to them
I don't care how dumb you are. In 2014, if you don't know that people are getting fukked over in the music industry, you're fukking past retarded
If you don't know, to take that contract to a lawyer. Or 3. Then you're retarded
You can be dumb as a box of rocks and know that "hey I can't read this. Maybe I should have someone else read it before I sign it"
What I'm saying is they don't care. They hear 500k and house and car and bytches and would sign it whether it was read to them or not. Cause they can't see themselves turning down that kind of money
It's only later they regret that choice. Usually when they fail and get placed on the shelf
Tyga is smart and his fam is from money. He didn't have a single complaint about his deal. Then he can't get a release. Oh now it's time to cry
Wayne knew the deal. Wanted to leave cause he knew he was getting fukked. Signed a new deal anyway. Yet he either didn't bother with a lawyer again. Or said fukk it, baby giving me all these millions. But soon as he can't get a release, he crying
Nobody cries when they getting the money. Nobody cries while negotiating. It's not until the buzz is gone, but they feel they should still get whatever they want, and get denied.... Then it's puffs fault. It's babys fault. It's jay fault. It's everybody fault but the man who took the money, spent the money, signed up for it and didn't maintain his popularity
