I agree that once you reach legendary status, no number of wack albums will take that away....problem is, he never reached legendary status. :ld:
His impact on mid -late 2000's Hip Hop defys your claims that he never reached legendary status. Plus his team has been the #1 crew in Hip Hop so far this decade. I'm not the biggest Wayne fan but I have to give props where due. Wayne is a legend.

Pink Floyd dropped what is considered one of the greatest albums of all time in their genre which also happened to be one of the highest selling & one of the most influential. What's Wayne equivelant to that? carter 2? :dead:

come on now..
wayne doesn't have a "Dark Side Of The Moon" or "The Wall"

I was actually speaking on why are things different between Black and white but I'll give you to that.....So let me change it up..........Ice T doesn't have a Dark Side Of the Moon either (go ahead and reach if u want but we all know Ice T doesn't have an album that comes close to 5 mic status) yet Ice T is considered a legend. So why is it that Ice T can be labled a legend without question but Lil wayne can't?

well 4 in a row and a bunch of wack mixtapes

Honestly Carter 3 was borderline trash and was the point where I was like, nah fukk this shyt. That lolipop song would piss me off every time I heard that shyt. Not even sure I like any songs on that shyt... That is definitely where he made a turn for the worst though imo. After 2008 was just a bunch of shyt his fans were forcing themselves to accept. I refuse to be told any other excuse for that shyt

Pink Floyd started making weak albums later in their careers and they are considered legends......Why does it have to be different for Lil Wayne?

they all play instruments, arrange and compose...

me
I don't even like lil wayne but I gotta consider him a legend.

his run from "fireman" up to "a milli" was magnificent, he was literally bodying everything from features to all the mixtapes he dropped. he did put out hella trash as well but from his hard work to signing drake & nicki i gotta give him respect in hindsight.

now as far as having a spot on my top 10 list.... nah

how did i manage to "basically" "say that" by what i posted previously?

OP said Lil wayne isn't a legend claiming that him making weak albums in his later career being a good reason as to why he isn't a legend.....I replied that Pink Floyd also made weak albums later in their careers and asked why is it different that they are considered legends yet Lil Wayne not be considered a legend as well? You then quoted me as if they should b acknowledged as legends because they play instruments and compose music... as if that was your rebuttle for why Wayne shouldn't be considered a legend. I then replied to you that if Wayn doesn't qualify for legendery status because he doesn't play instruments and compose music then Rakim isn't a legend either.

obviously my rebuttal for Wayne not having Legendary contingency wasn't based on the fact that he doesn't play instruments or compose songs. you mentioned pink floyd and tried to compare the work ethic and meticulous crafting of rock and roll classics to a sub par punch line rapper. what pink floyd did at their worst drunken stage performance as far as pure skill is head and shoulders above any verse wayne has ever laid. then, you take what i said and somehow make this about Rakim not being a legend when clearly that question isn't even debatable. it's like your just reaching for shyt that isn't even there....
