At the highest 39.6% tax bracket, the IRS is basically telling us his 6m yearly tax bill means they think he's making 15m on his reported income.

I'm guessing his reported income is based on any official music releases and touring since you can't really hide those.

Not bad if you think about it. He didn't have any retail releases in 2012 and he only released IANAHB2 in 2013 which only went gold.

That means he musta caked up a shyt ton in his C3 and C4 years.

Im not understanding your logic here. If he owes 5million in taxes for a year that means the govt believes he made at least 12million or so for that year. He just didn't pay the money.
