Well...tell me this

Name one good wayne diss record..

And I'm a wayne fan but if ur being objective wayne's style of music or writing never held longevity

Wayne doesn't rlly stick to focused topics in his rhymes nor does he provide story telling forreal, while drake gives less focus to punchlines and does provide more storytelling and stays more focused on a topic..

So even as someone who was a huge wayne fan I have to agree with the sentiment that drake overall just makes better music than wayne

What wayne provided us was great flows with dope ass punchlines...that was his thing, unfortunately that doesn't make for lasting music tbh

You're entitled to your opinion. I still think Wayne's catalog is a lot deeper/better than Drakes. Wayne's peak is a lot better than Drakes peak as well.

This post right here tells me that you haven't listened to Wayne's discography pre Carter 3. Or at least, not closely.

From Tha Block is Hot all the way to Carter 3, Wayne has been telling stories about his life while focusing on certain topics. Even in his unreleased sessions and shyt.

So from 1999-2008, you know Wayne's life and you got the dope ass punchlines/metaphors as well. I'm not sure why he stopped rapping about his life as much, but he's definitely listened to the fans because he's doing it on FWA somewhat

Nobody is bodying drake. They can body kendrick because kendrick cannot fight back
How do you know that Kendrick can't fight back? Besides, didn't Drake catch feelings from Control? The only thing Drake "bodies" rappers in is sales and popularity. That's it. Put him in a battle with a Lupe Fiasco-caliber MC, he's getting owned.

We're talking about lyricism breh, not industry machine generated popularity.

Yes, Drake is the most popular "rapper". Drake isn't an artist, he's a product. He's not great, he's marketable.
Best explanation I've seen of the Drake machine

I'd take Quentin Miller's rhymes over Lil Wayne at this point

But it would be very close...
if Wayne was drug free and focused then maybe he takes it

But who cares at this point I've moved on from both of them

Kendrick & J. Cole >>>>>> these nikkas

The real battle would be Quentin vs Gillie, with Drake and Wayne standing at ringside like some valets
