good for him but he was owed A LOT more and after lawyer fees and being out of the public eye he probably lost more than what he got. his star power is gone and hip-hop has moved on from wayne imo.

C5 is gonna come and go really fast. baby not paying anything still is:mindblown:
Universal probably gonna have to be reimburse lawyer fees as well

Umg was already taking those profits that was the problem. They fronted Birdman 100mill and was taking all profits to pay that back, even Wayne share of young money artist even though Wayne didn’t get that 100 mill

Now they just gave Wayne a adavance for him to be signed straight to universal. Wayne still didn’t get paid.

What happens to YM imprint ....is that still split between Wayne and CM? Or does CM forfeit that?

I highly doubt Ym was a real label. Which is why Birdman was able to finesse and not pay them.

Its an imprint of CM... but the way it's sounding like UMG might just be tryna rid themselves of Birdman as well and walk away with everything worth anything.

Edit - Here's the document from the old thread if anyone's interested.

If Wayne didn't record this album in New Orleans or have Mannie Fresh produce the majority of the album, I can care less about hearing The Carter V. I'm glad he's contractually free again, though.
