wayne changed his style up too soon and too drastically for his fans. as an MC, he peaked and was killing albums and mixtapes between Carter 2 - Carter 3 then started doing crazy shyt after with the skateboarding, weird clothes, piercings and drugs. then after that he started adding rock to his music and doing radio friendly songs, working with corny pop artists and releasing bad music about the same subject (drinking lean and eating p*ssy
). he couldn't establish a core fan base and grow with them. he still had a very successful career tho. only a handful of ppl can sellout like jay and nas after 20+ years in the game

If you notice the same thing happens with alot of artist who flood the industry with music. Em is prime example. During the Ja Rule shyt he put out so much shyt... And slowly after his music took a down turn. After a while you just run out of shyt to say. Wayne been doing this shyt for like 22 years.
