I thought Philly was poppin'? I will say, from the outside looking in, it doesn't seem to be a huge, young black professional base there.
But really tho, just when you're starting to touch down at Philly International, you can just see the crud and dirtiness all over the city... on some
"Where the hell am I?!" Philly looks like it needs a hand-sanitizer rain shower... a big ass wet wipe over the whole city. Shyt's scust status. Most major cities will have it's share of filth, but when you can see it from the air, tho...
I got love for the Philly buls tho. Some of game's best spitters.

what happened to America that Philadelphia is no longer considered a great tourist city. Its PHILLY! Maybe its just me but I think that's sad as hell.

I went back and edited my post. Maybe tourist was the right word because from a historical perspective, its one of the best cities in the country. Speaking from a nightlift angle, philly isn't great compared to nyc and dc, the major cities close to it. Center city/South street/olde city is amazing but for white folks mostly.
Where as there are 1000s of things to do for people for people of every ethnicity in DC/NYC. Im obviously generalizing a little bit.

Any nikkas talking shyt about their own city (as far as not wanting to be there) is a p*ssy and can't be trustedI never understood why Chi gets so much shyt instead of places like Philly. We got shootings and an absolute shytty, grimey culture. But at least its an interesting city. I know ppl here from Philly and they don't regret moving away. The horror stories i hear from them about Philly is just
There's plenty to do in Philly; there's always some ish going on throughout the day. There's just not much of an "urban" nightlife. There's no one major spot thats always poppin, so most of the black folks only go to the bars/lounges in their neighborhoods. But even our other spots are in the city, so if you walk a couple of blocks, you're in a neighborhood. I think that's what people don't like about it; there's no exclusivity....and we def don't give a eff about celebs. No special treatment here.
But if you don't mind hanging out with the mixed crowd, you can go down Old City of something of everything, or around 4th and Spring Garden for that strip for some bar/tavern.pub. The one setback is that everything closes at 2 (which means 1:30)
But overall, Philly is a chill city. Even for the nightlife, it's just a bunch of people hanging outside or in someone's home, just chillin. The rah rah clubbin, that's for the other cities with no identity.
