The long wait for Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V could be coming to an end very soon. Young Money teased the highly anticipated project's possible cover art on Twitter Wednesday (Sept. 12). The art features Wayne's left-hand holding all five fingers up with "The World" written upside down on his palm.
"Put them 5s up," the label's official Twitter account wrote, increasing hype surrounding the mythical LP. The C4 follow-up was slated to be released in 2014 until several delays ended up with Weezy in a torturous lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records. The two parties finally agreed to a settlement in May. While speaking with Rap-Up earlier in 2018, Baby "guaranteed" that C5 would be released before year's end.
Hot 97 is now reporting that the album is expected to be released on Sept. 21. This coincides with fan speculation that ran wild when Floyd Mayweather posted a photo of Tha Carter V captioned with "#21" last week. The boxing legend and good friend of Wayne's has since deleted the Instagram post.

i actually think a surprise album may hav been more the way to go. he better get a single and video out there fast. very interest to see how this album performs and if people even care anymore.
